Philosophy and Purpose:

The Strasburg Preschool program strives to meet the developmental needs of the whole child, with emphasis on the social, emotional, creative, and cognitive needs of each individual child. Our program follows a variety of curriculums designed and chosen to help children learn through play and prepare them for kindergarten. We strive to provide a safe and nurturing environment where children can actively explore, learn, and create lasting memories and relationships. We believe strongly in developmentally appropriate practices while also preparing them and challenging them.

Age of Preschool Children Served:

-3 years of age by August 1^st of the enrollment year

-4 years of age by August 1^st of the enrollment year

Hours of Operation:

Our preschool program runs Tuesday through Friday. We will follow the Strasburg School District calendar and any exceptions will be communicated to current preschool parents.

Families must apply and qualify at upk.colorado.gov prior to enrolling in the Strasburg Preschool Program to receive any no cost option listed above. Universal Preschool (UPK) targets funding for 4-year olds in the year before kindergarten.  Therefore, if your child is not 4 before August 1, 2025, your child will not receive UPK funds unless they have developmental needs requiring an IEP.
