Preschool

Philosophy and Purpose:

The Strasburg Preschool program strives to meet the developmental needs of the whole child, with an emphasis on each child’s social, emotional, creative, and cognitive growth. Our program uses a variety of carefully selected curricula designed to support learning through play and prepare children for kindergarten.

We are committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment where children can actively explore, learn, build relationships, and create lasting memories. We strongly believe in developmentally appropriate practices while also preparing and appropriately challenging each child.

Age of Children Served:

Children must be:

· 3 years old by August 1 of the enrollment year

· 4 years old by August 1 of the enrollment year

Hours of Operation:

Our preschool program operates Tuesday through Friday. We follow the Strasburg School District calendar. Any exceptions will be communicated to enrolled preschool families.

Tuition Information (2026-2027):

Families must apply and qualify at upk.colorado.gov prior to enrolling in the Strasburg Preschool Program to receive any no-cost option listed above. Universal Preschool (UPK) provides funding for 4-year-olds in the year before kindergarten.

If your child does not turn 4 before August 1 of the enrollment year, they will not qualify for UPK funding, with the exception of children who have developmental needs requiring an IEP.
